A Television Documentary About Alcohol Dependency Symptoms Results In Discouraging Emotions About A Lady's Hazardous And Abusive Drinking

Sharon had been involved in fairly heavy drinking behavior since her senior year in college. Now, seven years later, she drank more than ever. One Sunday evening when she was feeling ill, Sharon made up her mind to stay home, loosen up, and watch television. While trying to find a special program to watch that she would find exciting, she without delay got involved in a special program about young adult and adolescent drinking troubles.

The speaker went over the difference between alcoholism and alcohol abuse and then discussed the topic of alcoholic symptoms and alcoholic behavior. When the speaker discussed an individual's symptoms of withdrawal and some of the more familiar alcohol addiction signs and symptoms that people dependent on alcohol reveal, Sharon got quite alarmed because it basically seemed as if the speaker was talking directly to her.

After watching the television special, Sharon made a promise to herself that she would telephone her health care professional the next business day and schedule an appointment to discuss her careless and irresponsible drinking.

When the next workday arrived, true to her word, Sharon called her physician and scheduled an appointment. While she was waiting for the day of her appointment to arrive, she went on the web and did a search for alcoholism symptoms. Especially noteworthy were the following signs or symptoms: sneaking extra drinks before social events, sleep problems, serious employment and relationship problems, making excuses to drink at almost every opportunity, and increasing irritability.

Simply stated, due to the fact that Sharon experienced all of these signs she went further in her Internet search and found several blogs and websites that highlighted diverse alcohol addiction symptoms and warning signs. One of the symptoms that really grabbed her awareness was the following: "Do you typically drink after promising yourself that you won't?"

Another alcohol addiction symptom that took hold of her curiosity was the following: "Have people at your place of employment exasperated you by frowning on your hazardous and excessive drinking?" A third alcohol dependency symptom was the following: "Do you crave a drink when you first awaken in the morning?"

The final alcohol addiction warning symptom that made her feel fairly stressed about her irresponsible and abusive drinking was the following: "Has your energy shrunk since you started drinking on a more regular basis?" When Sharon read this sign she noticeably realized that drinking had become a significant difficulty in her life because of her diminished energy level and also because she gave up pursuing her passions and her goals.

After reflecting on all of these hurtful alcohol dependency symptoms and signs, Sharon at first felt sad. Then something surprising came about. She realized that she was going to see her health care professional about her irresponsible and abusive drinking and she also reflected on the fact that that she would talk about her alcohol dependency warning symptoms and signs.

In truth, for the first time in numerous months, Sharon sincerely felt a sense of hopefulness because she was dealing with her irresponsible and abusive drinking and was at long last ready to make the necessary alterations so that she could repossess the life that was drifting away.
