The Necessity Of A Translator Who Can Translate Polish Into English

Last week I visited Poland from England. Being an Englishman I obviously am not familiar with the Polish language, so I encountered a lot of problems for this reason. I needed somebody who could have translated the language, i.e. I needed a translator Polish to English, but I was unable to find one.

The difficulties began from day one of my visit. The accommodation I was staying in shockingly did not have any fluent English speaking attendants. Only a manager was able to speak with me. From the door keeper to the waiter, everyone Polish! Annoyed I decided to take a stroll around the hotel. While roaming, I came across a Flower supplier - lovely daffodils and adorable roses packed her flower bouquet.

I asked her about the price of one flower bunch and the lady just kept staring at me for 5 minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I decided to get a young boy who could translate Polish to English. Yet as I said I searched, but could not locate one. The tour thus had this kind of incidences all the while.

Luckily my job was not of talking to the Polish people very much, so I was able to focus on my work. Occasionally such events occurred to amuse me, that people are so reluctant to learn the worldwide language. You may say that was real patriotism, but in the search of true patriotism they lost some foreign currency which could have had some effect on the economy!

But I was additionally ignorant to go into a foreign language country and not understanding anything about them. Now that I have came back, I am studying the Polish language - to some extent. Lastly as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I used a translation Polish to English software program for the last statement)
